Pain Fruit Guide
Overview
Pain is a Legendary Natural-type Blox Fruit that converts absorbed damage into offensive power. Its abilities are energy-based rather than elemental, focusing on ranged pressure and controlled area attacks. Pain features a built-in Last Stand mechanic that temporarily enhances combat performance upon defeat. The fruit emphasizes risk–reward gameplay, with large-area attacks that have low knockback, making it suitable for sustained engagements and grouped enemy encounters.
Abilities
Pain is ranked T1 on our Fruits Tier List. This ranking is based on player demand, rarity, and overall performance in PvP, PvE grinding, and raids.
- PvP: Pain is a high risk, high reward PvP fruit that converts damage into power. Its ranged attacks and Last Stand mechanic reward aggressive play but require careful health management.
- PvE: Pain is useful for grinding due to its large AoE attacks and low knockback. Its damage scaling allows it to clear groups efficiently, though survivability depends heavily on player awareness.
Moveset, Controls & Mastery Requirements
| Controls | Moveset | Mastery Required | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| Left mouse click | Raging Rush | 1 Mastery | The user rushes and throws 2 hook punches followed by an uppercut, initiating airborne combat and ending it with a barrage of energy, knocking the enemy very far away. |
| [Z] | Fury Jab | 1 Mastery | This move has 2 variants: If tapped: The user shoots out a Pain Ghost that explodes upon contact with a surface or a player's hitbox. If the third upgrade, Torment Conductor, has been activated, missing will spawn additional ghosts. If held The user shoots out a barrage of Pain Ghosts, lowering in damage output with each successive hit. Likewise, missing will spawn Pain Ghosts. This move gradually slows down over time. |
| [X] | Rage Release | 100 Mastery | This move has 2 variants: If tapped: The user dashes forward. Upon connection with an enemy, the user grabs them and starts a short combo, with an energy burst that knocks the enemy away. If held: The user builds up an aura and dashes forward. Upon connection with an enemy, the user grabs them, taking them upward and launches an energy beam that drags the enemy to the aimed area. |
| [C] | Agony Nuke | 200 Mastery | This move has 2 variants: If tapped: The user releases a fast, concentrated ball of energy that drags nearby enemies in, which quickly expands upon contact, with Pain Ghosts fueling it, exploding soon after and knocking pulled enemies away. This move is quite similar to Awakened Sand's [V] Deep Sand. If held: The user covers their face and is surrounded by a blazing red aura. Upon release, a large Pain Ghost roars out a powerful beam of red energy, deals damage, and pulls enemies to the end of the beam stunning them. Holding the move for longer will result in an even larger Pain Ghost shooting out a larger energy beam, which deals more damage. The fourth upgrade, Spectral Assimilation is required to be unlocked to use this. |
| [V] | Torturing Pulse | 300 Mastery | This move has 2 variants: If tapped: The user releases a quick, large ball of dense energy, showing evil pareidolia. If hit, the enemy suffers tick damage in quick succession, and experiences screen shake and distortion, having an image similar to the ball's "face". This move is single-target. If held: The user holds out an enlarged throbbing ball of dense energy, having a similar design to its tapped variant, surrounded by the fog of Pain Ghosts. If hit, the enemy is dragged forward and suffers with the same effects as the tapped variant. The size of the ball is based on how much full is the Pain Meter is. This move is multi-target. |
| [F] | Torment Warp | 50 Mastery | This move has 2 variants: If tapped: The user launches forward with a longer range than other fruits. Cooldown resets if collected a pain ghost. This applies to the held version too. If held: The user launches into the air, then dashes toward the cursor in a chosen direction. When used mid-air, the user immediately dashes toward the cursor. This summons four Pain Ghosts, regardless of whether or not the move hit or missed. The second upgrade, Agony Surge is required to be unlocked to use this. |
