How do we calculate trade value?

For pets, we use a value-based trade evaluation system that factors in community knowledge, market trends, and unique item attributes (like trait value, age, weight, mutations, and more) to give each pet an intuitive trade value. Crop values are based on their in-game sheckle price, trait, weight, and market demand.

Is trade value related to the in-game currency Sheckles?

Not directly. Due to inflation within the game's economy, Sheckles are not currently a reliable measure of an item's true trading value. Therefore, our point system isn't strongly tied to Sheckles. However, we do consider an item's Sheckle value as one of several factors when awarding bonus points.

When you select a crop or pet in the trade calculator and enter its stats such as weight, age (for pets only), or mutations, you can also see its estimated value in Sheckles. You can calculate the Sheckle value for any pet using our Pet Value Calculator. A dedicated crop calculator page will be available in a future update.

How do we calculate a crop trade value?

Currently, as most crops are relatively easy to acquire, they hold little trading value. Therefore, we only award points for crops with high Sheckle Price.

A crop is considered high-value and receives 1 point when its Sheckle Price exceeds 1 trillion (1,000,000,000,000). An additional point is awarded for every subsequent trillion in value.

We will continuously monitor the market performance of crops and update their trade value accordingly. We invite you to join our community and contribute your feedback to help us improve this system.

How do we calculate a pet trade value?

Explore our Grow a Garden Pet Tier List and see details in the complete pet rankings and rating standards guide.

The pet trade value is built from two parts: the pet's Base Value (determined by pet attributes) and a Market Adjustment (based on real-time trading). The Base Value is mostly decided by trait value, with other attributes like age, weight, and mutations adding some bonuses. We then factor in real-time offer/request data from Tradekitsune, external market data, and insights from our expert team to set the final, fresh value. We update the value daily to keep you informed and value accurate!

Currently, a pet's most significant value comes from its traits. Therefore, our trade values are prioritized as follows:

Market Demand > Traits > Super Giant Status > Weight > Mutation Effect > Age

Final Pet Value = Trait Value X Weight Value X Mutation Effect + Super Giant Bonus + Age Bonus X Market Demand

Traits (View Pets Ranking List)

A pet's traits determine its base value.

This is the initial value determined by a pet's Tier, which we have assigned based on its traits. As the Tier increases from T7 to T0, the points grow exponentially to reflect the significant leap in value between higher tiers.

T7 (Lowest Impact)1 point
T6 (Minor Impact)2 points
T5 (Viable / Situational)15 points
T4 (Strong)45 points
T3 (Excellent)150 points
T2 (Excellent/Elite)600 points
T1 (Elite)3000 points
T0 (Apex)10000 points

Market Demand (Multiplier)

The Market Demand is a dynamic value that reflects a pet's true popularity and trade value. Our team calculates this by constantly analyzing market data and combining it with key in-game factors like rarity, supply, and overall player demand. This value is updated regularly to ensure all pet values remain fair and accurate.

Weight (Multiplier Bonus)

A pet's weight can affect its skill strength, for example, by reducing cooldown times. There are exceptions, such as the Triceratops, whose skill attributes are constant. For some pets, once their weight reaches a certain threshold, their stats will no longer increase. A pet's weight progression is strongly correlated with its initial weight, which determines its final weight at 100 years old.

Since weight affects a pet's appearance and the super giant pets are currently popular in the market, a pet's weight value is applied as a multiplier to its Skill Base Value.

To estimate your pet’s future size and performance, try our Pet Weight Calculator for Grow a Garden pets and see the complete weight-to-skill value charts.

Weight Multipliers:

Standard

W < 1 kg1x
1 kg ≤ W < 2 kg1.05x
2 kg ≤ W < 3 kg1.25x
3 kg ≤ W < 4 kg2x
4 kg ≤ W < 5 kg4x

Super Giant Bonus

We've noticed that many players in the trading market love super giant pets, even if their skills are average. Therefore, pets with a base weight over 5 kg are considered to have a 'Giant' trait and receive a higher reward multiplier. Pets with a base weight over 9 kg are considered to have a 'Super Giant' trait and receive an additional point bonus.

Giant

5 kg ≤ W < 6 kg7x
6 kg ≤ W < 7 kg10x
7 kg ≤ W < 8 kg13x
8 kg ≤ W < 9 kg16x
W ≥ 9 kg20x + an additional 500 points

Mutation Effect (Multiplier Bonus)

Pets over the age of 50 can undergo mutation, which provides an additional passive skill-like effect. We rank these mutation effects using the same Tier List ranking system as skills.

  • T4-Tier Mutation: 1.05x multiplier
  • T3-Tier Mutation: 1.08x multiplier
  • T2-Tier Mutation: 1.1x multiplier
  • T1-Tier Mutation: 1.2x multiplier
  • T0-Tier Mutation: 1.5x multiplier

Age Bonus

Age can improve skill effectiveness, such as by shortening cooldowns, increasing proc rates, and providing other buffs. The maximum age is 100. Age also serves special purposes, for example, pets over 50 can be mutated, and pets over 20 can be used to unlock additional pet slots for the player. The age milestones for unlocking extra slots are as follows:

  • Age 20: 10 points
  • Age 30: 15 points
  • Age 45: 20 points
  • Age 60: 50 points
  • Age 75: 100 points
