1. Get the egg you want to hatch. 2. Take it to your garden. 3. Place the egg just like you would a seed, in a spot suitable for hatching. 4. How to get pet mutations?

1. Locate the Mutation Machine near the Egg Shop in the game. 2. Prepare the Requirements: 500,000,000 Sheckles or pet shards. 3. Choose a pet that is level (age) 50 or above to be eligible for mutation. 4. Use the Mutation Machine to begin mutating your selected pet. This grants: - A permanent mutation - A special ability 5. Wait for Mutation to Complete. The mutation process takes 1 hour to finish. 6. After completion, the pet's age is reset to 1.

How do pet stats (like weight and age) work?

Pets get heavier as they age, and most abilities scale with current weight. Heavier pets of the same species usually have stronger effects. Some pets have caps or exceptions, and a few have fixed stats. Pets only gain age while they have hunger left.

Can you speed up feeding or automate it?

Yes. Some pets can handle feeding for you. Moth automatically restores a random pet’s hunger to 100% about every 13 minutes, and running two Moths can keep all pets fed. Capybara creates a zone where nearby pets do not lose hunger and also gain XP every second. Using these together gives near hands‑off upkeep.

What’s the best way to make pets grow larger/faster?

The most effective setup is to run 2 Moths for automatic feeding and 5 high-XP pets to maximize leveling speed, with one main “boss” pet that you want to level up. Currently, the strongest XP pets are Dilophosaurus and French Fry Ferret.

Can you feed all pets at once?

No built‑in “feed all” button exists. You can feed only one pet at a time. In practice you can minimize manual feeding by using Moth for full refills and Capybara to prevent hunger loss.

What are pet mutations and how do I get them?

Pet mutations are permanent upgrades that change a pet’s appearance and grant it a special ability. You can get them by using the Mutation Machine near the Egg Shop. Pets must be level 50 or higher to be mutated.

Is mutating your pet always better than letting them get old?

Not always. Some mutations help a lot, others don’t or may reduce performance. Aging a pet increases weight, boosting weight-based skills, so sometimes aging is better.

Do pet mutations stack?

A pet can only have one mutation at a time, except for the Natural Rainbow mutation from Rainbow Eggs, which can stack with a machine mutation.

Can mutations be useless or bad for certain pets?

Some mutations, like size-only (Tiny or Mega), don’t boost ability strength and can even weaken team synergies. For example, a Mimic Octopus copying a Raccoon with Windstruck might inherit the weaker Windstruck ability, reducing its effectiveness. Don’t assume all mutations are upgrades, choose based on your garden’s needs.

What happens if a 'huge' or 'mega' pet gets mutated?

Mega and Tiny are size modifications. The Wiki notes that Mega does not improve the pet’s ability and Tiny does not hinder it. If you apply a new machine mutation, it replaces the old one; Natural Rainbow can still stack.

If I don't like my mutation, can I re-mutate a pet?

Yes. Put the pet back into the Mutation Machine to replace its mutation. The process requires a level 50+ pet, costs 500,000,000 coins or a Pet Mutation Shard, takes one hour, resets level to 1, and cannot be canceled.

How to select a pet?

Click on the pet you want to calculate in the pet list. You can filter by rarity. A red exclamation mark indicates that there isn't enough data for that pet, so the estimated value is imprecise and shown as a range. We need to gather more data for these pets.

How to set attributes?

You can view your pet's age and weight in the game. Once you enter them into the age and weight fields, you'll immediately see the pet's calculated value. If you don't enter any attributes, the pet's average default value will be displayed, and you won't get an accurate estimate of your pet's value. Please make sure you enter the correct age and weight.

Impact of Mutation Effects on A Pet's Value

Currently, we calculate that mutation effects have a minimal impact on pet value. However, you can still select mutation options. You can view the mutation effect descriptions below to see what value each mutation offers.

Are the calculation results accurate?

Our algorithm determines pet value by collecting data from multiple instances of each pet in-game, observing and recording growth data, then reverse-engineering the calculation from the shop's reclaim value. Most pets achieve over 90% accuracy. A small number of estimated results are shown as a range. We welcome everyone to join the community and contribute raw data.

Explanation of Mutation Types

Shiny

Provides an additional 15% boost to the pet's XP per second!

Inverted

Provides an additional 30% boost to the pet's XP per second!

Frozen

Every ~5 minutes, ~20 - 30% chance a nearby fruit becomes Frozen!

Windy

Every ~30 - 300 seconds, ~20 - 30% chance a nearby fruit becomes Windstruck!

Golden

Provides a big increase to the pet's passive! (also decreases cooldown)

Mega

When the Pet Mutation Shard Lion is applied to a pet, every 10:00-2:30m, roars and calls all pets in the player's garden to move toward it. 200-400 total cooldown advancement is shared across each pet (max 30-60 seconds per pet). Gains a big increase to the passive additionally. The pet also gains a 10% passive boost.

Jumbo

Pet is Jumbo and gains +50% XP BOOST! All nearby plants within 18.90 studs will have an increased 0.010x size bonus for every Safari-type plant planted in your garden! (Max 300)

Giraffe

Every 25:05m, eats a fruit that are at least 10 studs high for 0.39x sell value. The plant the fruit came from advances growth by 17:22, it also applies Arid mutation to all other fruits on said plant, it also gains small increase to passives (+3%) .

Oxpecker

When Safari type pets finish their abilities, they start their cooldown with ~3.93 seconds less! Gains a tiny Increase to passives (+1%) !

Crocodile

Every 19:53m, bites on to a random Plant or Pet for 30.10s and performs a roll. Plants grow an additional 45.10s/s and Pets get additional 35.10 XP/s. Gains medium increase to passives (+7.5%) !

Rhino

Every 24:22m, charges into a random egg or random fruit in garden: Rammed eggs have hatch time halved, rammed fruits get Mirage mutation! Cannot be mimicked or refreshed. Gains medium increase to passives (+5%) !

Every 12:18m goes to an active crafting table and advances the crafting time by 43.39s!

HyperHunger

BIG boost to passive but hunger drains SUPER DUPER FAST! Boost is disabled when hunger is less than 25%.

Giant Golem

Pet is a giant golem! Has a big increase to passive, slightly bigger & gains bonus 0.015XP/s for every Christmas-type plant in your garden!

Merry Nursery

Every 30:00-5:00m, goes to the unhatched egg with the highest hatch time and reduces it by 25-60s with a bonus 1-2s for every Christmas-type plant in your garden!
