How to Complete Black Buttercup Quest

​Store Black Buttercups in your inventory, and Lizzy will automatically count and accept them when you talk to her. Once you've submitted all 16 Black Buttercups across the four stages, you fully clear the Black Buttercup questline and receive all four Shadow Buttercup seeds.

• Get your black buttercups ready.
• Teleport to the central map.
• Talk to the Event NPC Lizzy.
• Click "Here" to submit 3 black buttercups.
• Congrats, you have completed the first black buttercup quest.
• Now, go check your inventory for your shadow buttercup seed rewards.
• Then repeat the loop to complete the next three quest stages.

🌷 Important note 🌷

Black Buttercups must be naturally black. Color-changing mutations like Charcoal, Burnt, or Moonlit do not count.

🌷 Pro tips 🌷

1. Lizzy will take all Black Buttercups in your inventory, even if they are favorited (locked).

2. Any extra Black Buttercups will also be taken, so only carry the exact amount required for the current quest stage.

3. If you submit fewer Black Buttercups than required, a cooldown of around 2~3 hours will trigger before you can submit again.

​To complete the full quest efficiently:

• Favorite every naturally black Buttercup you get, so you don't accidentally sell or mutate it.
• ​Planting large batches of Buttercups (like a few hundred) at one time will increase the chance of a natural black buttercup.

Black Buttercups Requirements in Each Stage

Pay attention that any mutated Black Buttercups do not count; Only natural black flowers are accepted.

The amount of Black Buttercups required in each stage:

• 🌷 First Stage : 3x Black Buttercups
• 🌷 Second Stage 🌷: 2x Black Buttercups
• 🌷 Third Stage 🌷: 4x Black Buttercups
• 🌷 Final Stage 🌷: 7x Black Buttercups

Each stage rewards you with a Shadow Buttercup seed:

• Prepare a garden slot for buttercup grinding only.
• Plant hundreds of Buttercups at once in consecutive plots to maximize the number of rolls you get for the black color variant.
• Black is a low-chance color, so the more plants you have growing at the same time, the better your odds of seeing one black flower in each batch.
• ​When you spot a natural Black Buttercup, harvest it carefully, favorite it, and store it safely for the Lizzy/NPC quest.

​If you manage to get just one natural Black Buttercup, you can often combine it with pets like Raccoons in an empty garden to repeatedly re-harvest and build up enough copies for all quest stages.
