🧑🌾HARVEST MOON🌕 - Complete Guide
The Harvest Moon Event in Grow a Garden is a limited‑time event where you summon special Harvest Moon weather, mutate your crops with the Moonbeam effect, then sell those special fruits for a new currency called Moon Coins to unlock pets, seeds, and cosmetics.

🧑🌾How to Unlock and Start the Event
- The event hub appears in the central area of the main map, with a circular platform and multiple pedestals, plus a special Moon Sell Stand and Moon Shop nearby.
- Talking to the Harvest Moon NPC (often called Harvest Heath) explains that you must bring fruits as offerings to start the Harvest Moon.
- The event runs on a server‑wide timer: when all offerings are placed and the timer finishes, Harvest Moon weather activates for everyone in that server.
Key idea: You cannot trigger the event just by harvesting; you must interact with that central platform and its pedestals.
🧑🌾Summoning the Harvest Moon (Offerings & Timer)
Pedestals and required fruits
- There are 10 pedestals around the central platform, each requiring a specific fruit, and some slots may demand fruits that already have certain mutations (like wet, chilled, shocked, or frozen).
- You must place all required fruits into these pedestals to raise the moon; when the set is complete, the Harvest Moon starts.
Duration, cooldown, and paid skips
- In the live event, one Harvest Moon activation lasts several minutes, during which plants can gain the Moonbeam mutation; then there is a cooldown period before you can trigger it again.
- If you do not have the mutated fruits needed for some pedestals, you can skip individual pedestals with premium currency or pay to bypass the whole offering requirement for an instant summon.
Conceptually, Part 1 is about reliably summoning the moon at least once without wasting rare fruits.
🧑🌾Moonbeam Mutation and Moon Coins
What Moonbeam does
- During Harvest Moon weather, every plant in your garden has a significant chance (around half) to gain the Moonbeam mutation when it grows and is harvested.
- This mutation is visually distinct and marks fruits that can be sold for the new currency.
Selling and spending Moon Coins
- Moonbeam‑mutated fruits are sold at the Moon Sell Stand near the event hub; selling these fruits grants Moon Coins instead of or in addition to regular coins.
- Moon Coins can be used in a special Moon Shop and to progress a multi‑stage reward track (often called Moon Coin Madness), with rewards like pets, seeds, and a final Lunar Lantern seed after clearing all stages.
So the loop for Part 1 is: summon moon → farm Moonbeam fruits → sell for Moon Coins → unlock early rewards in the event shop/track.

🧑🌾Basic Efficient Farming Loop (Beginner‑Friendly)
Here’s a practical "Part 1" route that doesn’t assume high‑end pets or godly setups.
Prepare an event garden
- Set aside one garden slot where you plant a single cheap, fast crop type, such as carrots, to trigger Moonbeam quickly.
- Keep your main garden separate for your usual progression crops so you don’t ruin your normal layout.
Gather pedestal fruits in advance
- Stockpile the common fruits listed on the pedestals: things like carrot, strawberry, blueberry, tomato, corn, watermelon, apple, pumpkin, pineapple, banana, and their basic mutations if possible.
- That way, when the server timer is close to ready, you can fill the pedestals immediately and not miss the window.

Trigger the Harvest Moon
- When you’re ready, place the 10 required fruits on the pedestals; watch for any mutation requirements and avoid using something you cannot easily replace
- Wait for the activation countdown; once the moon appears, immediately switch to your event garden.
Farm Moonbeam fruits
- During the active moon, keep planting and harvesting your chosen crop in that event garden so that as many as possible roll for Moonbeam.
- After the moon ends, collect all Moonbeam fruits and take them to the Moon Sell Stand to convert them into Moon Coins.
